gears...

im lookin at gettin some new rearend gears (3.73) and i was just wondering what the difference is between the 2 series and 3 series sets... and what would i want to get..(car stats in sig)..tks

Well, I thought about 3.42's vs. 3.73's for a long time......I started out with 2.73's and eventually settled on the 3.73's. Everyone I talked to told me I'd love them and I'd feel such a huge difference. The only downside is a little bit of worse gas mileage.....but the car really is fun with them back there.

If you have 2.73's in your car originally, you would need gears for a 2-series carrier. If you have 3.23's in your car originally, you would go with the 3-series carrier.

ok tks... o and our rearends are 7.5" right? and do i need to order all that extra stuff or can i just get the basic install kit (ie. shims, bearings etc..)
