Gears

I've got 4.10s on my A4 and was wondering, as far as track times go, what would happen if I were to bring it down to 3.73s. My 60' times now are about 1.7 - 1.8.

On the other hand, I know my gas mileage would go up!

Re: Gears

FYI, running 4.10s on a 4L60E is like running a 4.72:1 ratio on a 6 speed. I really don't think it will make much of a difference either way, especially with a higher than stock stall speed. What kind of tires are you running?

Street tires are bfg kdw's. 285's on the back, 275's on the front. At the track I use the nitto 555r's 275/45/17.
