Arrow gearing and gas mileage..

with the A4..

how much would my gas mileage suffer with 3.73's what about 4.10's?

ive read low 20s with the 3.73's and a sub 3000 stall but want more opinions? is the 4.10 that BAD for daily driver?

what rpm would i be at, lets say at 70 mph or so with each gearset??

Also with just gears what difference could i expect in the 1/8th mile(dont have 1/4 mile around here..)?

I'm sure a higher stall converter would be very beneficial but they are so expensive and how much would it be to install??? thanks..

Don't know about the difference in gas mileage from the original gears, but my 3.42's (sorry no 373) get me around 24-25 mpg on the highway (stock convertor). At 70MPH my rpms hit 2500 cruising. I'd say driveability with 4.10's wouldn't be too good with an A4, M6 with their extra two gears would fair better. As far as 1/8 mile differences, no clue.

I have an M6 and got 3.73's. Man, I am really happy with them, much better than the 3.42's with my combo. The 3.73's basically make 6th gear more usable, especially going up hills you can use 6th gear! The new gears have made the car more responsive at every rpm.
Going with 4.11's would be too much for a daily driver IMO. My car is just a weekend car too.

To check your RPM's with various size gears to to www.f-body.org/gears/

What gears do you have now? I went from 2.73 to 3.42 (bought an entire rear out of an M6 car, cheapest route). If I had 3.23's and just wanted to replace gears I would've gone with 3.73's.
