gear oil on torque arm/floor boards

Is this a pinion seal? I just noticed it today, and it made me pretty nervous. My car only has 8,000 miles on it since it was new, could it be that the seal just dried out? I don't have an impact wrench, can it be changed with hand tools or should I have the dealer do it? Price?

8,000 miles, what the hell...

is it the stock torque arm ? a out of adjustment aftermarket one will cause it to go bad

the seal itself cost about 10 bucks , do it urself dont let a dealer do it , they charge well over 300 dollars ,i know lol

it can easily be doen with out an impact gun, it just takes longer

Stock torque arm...

300 bucks that is horrible, guess I'll take my chances, just hope I can get the seal crushed enough
