Gear noise question...

alright, so I put an auburn diff into a rear(I originally had a open diff, no noise, then converted to a zexel torsion, no noise, then I put the auburn in), afterwards it was making a whining noise.(LSD additive and all is in.)

Mainly only if I cruising and get on the gas. Then it does it, like I can have it in gear get on, let off, get on, etc.... and it will do it.

Either way, I was wondering since I have driven for a long time, I want to know if the gears are done, that their is nothing I can do to fix it but a new ring and pinion setup.

When I put the auburn in, it was REALLY tight, it was hard to get in. Mostly related to the spacers. I was thinking of pulling the diff out, maybe putting a different set of spacers in for the diff(I have another rear in my garage with an auburn diff, was going to use those spacers)

Think its worth the effort? Or is it a lost cause?

Thanks in advance.
