Gear change?

I am thinking about changing my gearing on the car. Right now I have the a4 with the 2.73. What would be the best gearing for my car?I want the best preformance. Also is it a hard job to do?

My recommendation would be a Strange 3.42 gear for a series 2 carrier. This is not a job I would recommend you do yourself unless you have setup a rearend before.

go with a moser 373 and a vigilante 3200 or 3600 stall converter you will see major results, best to have stall converter put in at same time as gears put in, if not can put major strain on tranny

its also important to get a tranny cooler along with those upgrades as well, but i really recommend 373 with 3200 stall
