Man I have heard more complaints about this guy and his cusomer service. I really feel bad for people doing legitmate business and not getting there transmissions on time and as described. All I have to say is I recently purchased a Trans from PERFORMABUILT, and let me tell you the thing is solid as **** and shifts like a dream. Their customer service is IMPECCABLE. Always there the answer the phone andany questions u may have. Also shipping was FAST lightning FAST yall should really check these guys out great work and great customer service. Good luck with this CPT shop in the meantime....

I hate to see ppl having problems with Franks work like this, but I'm pretty sure he runs CPT as a side business. His 4L60E's have one of the best reputations out there, but sometimes you need a little patience when working with smaller companies like his. As he said in the post "ak95ta" linked (post #18), he's a small operation. If you need a fast turn around time, there are other options out there if you don't mind taking a risk with quality.

btw nitro, your posts are very difficult to read when it's one huge run on sentence seriously dude, punctuation is your friend see how much easier it is to read

That's too bad. Frank did a real good job for me and was good at communicating although he was always busy. And, yeah he is a small shop.

Boy this sounds all to familiar. After having mine for warranty repair for 4 months it never worked right. I could not deal with the wait or bad CS anymore. I went elsewhere. Really a shame, he seemed like a nice guy.

thank you camaro81 for the vote of confidence in someone I have decided to spend a lot of money with.

In my communications with him, it seams as tho he has gotten swamped @ Christmas, then the ups thing set him back. He asked for my, and everyone's patience. when he does my trans I don't want him pist or miffed at my impatience or rushed. and yes I miss my car.

NP I have one of his $1400 transmissions that has already seen almost 500 passes in last year alone, including some nitrous induced 1.4 60' times. His work is well worth the wait and I think his closest competitor in terms of price is $2600 for the same "invincible" claim.

I really feel bad for the guy, I think if I was in his shoes I would just stop taking in new customers. His super low price when combined with the quality of work is just getting him swamped and it seems a lot of people just want to torment him for it.

OK...This is the first time I've been on this board in a while. Let's discuss this pile of garbage that Fran brought to me. First, you have a stock transmission that someone charged you alot of money for. Second, it has many issues, which I explained to Fran, and he told me "This guy has no money to fix it right!" I didn't make a dime on your transmission! I fixed it the first time so it would move! I told Fran...It has NO WARRANTY! I didn't take your transmission completely apart. It was a REPAIR, not a BUILD! The low/reverse lugs blew out of the case, which retain the snap ring. I didn't even have this apart, in your transmission!
I did a complete case swap and only charged you for the case. I didn't charge anyone any labor to swap the cases!
You wanted to half *** this project, so I had to work it in among other jobs I'm actually making money on!
Again, you were another one I was trying to save some money, and help out. AZ2ENVY should've taught me my lesson on that one.
BTW, In case anyone wants a time line, Fran picked this transmission up last Saturday.

*EDIT* BTW...I NEVER GOT A CALL OR A MESSAGE FROM YOU, DIRECTLY!!! I DEALT WITH FRAN ONLY! Don't you dare come on here and start spreading lies and bull****!

My god, Chris, thank you. It's nice to see some people still appreciate our work and prices. You hit the nail on the head. I've just got too much work right now. Fortunately, I see light at the end of the tunnel. I've been working my *** off to get these things out, while still holding the high level of quality that we built our reputation on.
Sorry...we can't deliver them "lightning fast". I'd prefer that they be built correctly, and are going to be able to take the abuse that our customers expect them to take.
