flywheel ridge

I just bought a used slp flywheel from one of the board members he used it with a mcleod single disk. When i took it apart there was a very noticable ridge on the flywheel between where the disk rode and where the original surface was. The flywheel looks perfect other than that no waves or heatspots. Is this flywheel still good? I was going to have it turned but the ridge looks pretty large so I think it might have to be turned quite a bit or are all flywheels like this when you take off the old clutch.

Thanks
