Flywheel help

My clutch is going out and the shop said their book says to replace the flywheel not to resurface it. Is this true? If so where can I get a stock replacement flywheel or should I get a performance flywheel? Steel or alumminum? Thanks.

Re: Flywheel help

get a new mechanic...

resurfaced stocker is all you need.

but if you wanted you could buy a new one. if you drag race go for the steel. if you road race or autoX...aluminum.
