Question Fluid change Rear end.

Hi,
I am doing fluid change in my car. It is 96TA with 6 speed and it has GM 10 bolt with torsen limited slip.
What it takes to change fluid in the differential.
How much fluid ? (2 quarts of Gear oil 75-90W) ?
Since I don't have a Aurbun so I guess I do not need Friction modifier ?
For changing the fluid I am thinking I need to break lose top bolts first.
Then slowly bottom ones. Have some pan to catch all the fluids.
Once all the fluid is drained out
Then take the Griddle plate out. Wipe all the fluid out. Clean out with brake cleaner ?
Then run some lite bead of RTV on the rear end and griddle plate and sandwich my felpro gasket.
Let it sit for 24 Hrs. Then fill it up from side bolt. Drive around slowly for 5 KM. Pull in for leak checks ?
Do I have it right ?

Re: Fluid change Rear end.

^^ pretty much it

I just use a "skim coat" of RTV on both sides of the diff gasket

you don't need to spray any brake cleaner inside the diff, just wipe bottom of housing with a rag

Torsen wasn't standard equipment until 1999.
