First time using Jack Stands ... where to place them?! ---
I need to beat off a set of c4 vette wheels that are stuck on my hub. It will be my first time using jack stands.
Do I just put the front wheels touching the concrete parking lot deal.....then jack it up one side at a time enough to get the jack stand under the axle? Is there a certain spot to put them, or just pretty much center them on that side of the axle?
I am going to drive around the block with the lugs loose, then soak the center, and hook up rope to my syclone to put pressure on the wheel ( outward pressure ) , then I bought a poly hammer with the buckshot in the center to hit on the rim with. I should keep it in neutral without the parking brake on ... so I can turn the wheel in circles right?
Anything I am missing? I had a friend die like this last year, so sorry for the NEWBISH question.... but I would like to live a few more years . Wish me luck ---

Well, I normally put the jack stands underneath the rear sway-bar mounting brackets ... they're at the same level, and they fit nice in the "dip" of the stand ... I would prefer to go underneath the main axle tubes, but the sway bar is in the way
. Since you're going to be pounding/putting a lot of (sideways) pressure on the wheels, make sure the car is sitting really solid on the stands, and watch to make sure they don't start tipping when you hammer/pull on the wheels to get them off!

You are best getting them under the chassis.
There are pleny of places on the rear area of the chassis right around the rear control arms.
The places in the front are a bit more sparce if you dont want to ding up the bottom of the rails. I tend to put them right next to the plastic square on the bottom right behind the rear wheels.

Are you friggin kidding me??? I hope this is some kind of joke because it sounds like one of the most dumb *** things that I have heard in awile.
As for your friend dying, sorry to hear that, but with the logic stated above, like driving around with loose lug nuts, and tying another vehicle to a wheel to pull it off..... I am not surprised.
