First gear Shudder
First gear Shudder
Hey all,
When I'm engaging first gear (ie. slowly letting up the clutch), the whole car shudders.. Once I'm fully engaged, the shuddering stops. It never does it any other time or with any other gear. I can even start in second (bogging it way down) and it wont do it.
I know bogging isnt the problem, because the more gas i give it as i let up the clutch, the worse the shudder gets (but only when im in first). In fact, it can get pretty violent.
Any idea what the hell is going on?
Thanks,
Shawn

Re: First gear Shudder
Did you install a new clutch? If you did put a new clutch you should have resurfaced your flywheel. If you didnt resurface it then it can cause a shudder. Thats about the only thing i can think of. Unless the ls1s have a specific problem with their clutch.

I get the same thing since I had a new clutch installed.
The flywheel was resurface also
They told me I have to breaK in about 500 miles and the shutter will go away.
