Fill plug fell into rear differential!!!

Exclamation Fill plug fell into rear differential!!!

Help!!!
I was tightening my fill plug then it was gone....
It actually fell in, rookie mistake I know. I'm 99.9999% sure I can't drive around like this. What do I do?!?!?!

Remove the cover and take the plug out.

How in the heck do you tighten a tapered pipe plug enough to do that (unless the case is cracked). Is the plug something different on a Strange 12 bolt?

Ya thats what I figured... I started it last night and I'm gonna finish it tonight. I guess it is different because it didn't get any harder to tighten. I was just tightening it in, then...... It was gone lol. Sucks that I gotta go through all this just for that damn plug. You live and you learn I guess

Ok... Got it done.... Finally!!! Lol really sucks if you don't have the proper equipment. Guess this was a good thing though because my rear end had a slow leak but after I put the permatex gasket maker on there it stopped!!! So that's a plus. Until next time.....
