The feel of the new stall.

Well. Last weekend I installed a new YANK 3600 torque converter which wiehgs 20 pounds less then stock. I also installed a B&M supercooler and TCI flexplate. When driving the car around, I notice it takes alittle more gas to get around, im sure thats normal. I havent ran the torque converter in yet so I don't know the WOT full potential it has. I never drove a car with a stall and I guess you can describe it as almost feeling like a slipping tranny???? The tranny is fully built up, the shifts still feel good a firm thanks to a shift kit. I put in about 11.4 qts of tranny fluid, stock without the cooler is 10.8... what you guys think?

Which Yank 3600? What rear gears do you have? You will be very happy with your new converter, if you have traction. Then again, some guys like the smoke show they can put on.

Everything sounds right to me. Stock to 3600 stall Are you kidding? You just dropped about 7 tenths off your 1/4 mile time. YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!

11.4 quarts may be too much. Keep an eye on the level.

Since you already have 3.42s, I don't think it would be worth it to change them out. But I felt a big difference in driveabilty when going to the 3.73s over my 3.23s. You'll get use to it in no time. Double check the fluid level, let the lock-up cycle a few more times and give it hell.

Time for some gears and it will feel better. Stalls and stock gears feel like a slipping tranny.
