Faulty slave cylinder?

1995 LT1 car

I replaced the slave cylinder tonight and followed the GM procedure for bleeding the clutch. After bolting the slave back up i have no pressure in the clutch pedal until the last 1/4 of travel in the pedal.

This is the second time i have replaced the slave and the first time, after using the GM procedure I was good to go with no issues. I did the same thing this time and now i have problems.

Could Napa have sold me a defective slave? Or is there a different issue? Any way to verify what's wrong?

Sounds like yo need to keep bleeding the system, but you could also have a defective slave. I would keep bleeding until you know for sure there are no more air bubbles.

well i did the whole "compress the pushrod and let go quickly" thing for 10 minutes straight...and still heard the "squish" of air in the system...any reason why this air wont bleed?

Well if your still seeing air bubbles in the resevoir then you still have air in the system. Sometimes its like that but if you see nothing then I would take the slave or the whole system back.

What about the master itself? Could that be a problem with the master and not the slave?? (I really don't know, that's why I'm asking). I think I've got some air in my hydraulics too, but I don't know how to tell if you've got a PARTS problem or just an un-skilled WORKER problem?!
