fastest times on 10 bolt??

we all know our rears are garbage for the most part, but out of curiosity,

what are some times you guys are running on either stock or modified factory rears.

Some guys have made it into the 11's on the stock 10 bolt, thats the exception and not the rule. Its the ~1.60 60 foot times that kills the 10 bolt.

I remember a local guy running 10.80's with a 10 bolt and 4.10s think he cut hi 1.5 60' but he did have a 4500 converter so it lessens the blow.....

So more converter lessons the blow? I'll have to think on that for a while.

Ok, done thinking, I don't get it. Help me out here please.

A looser convert will slip more... so when the drivetrain is loaded instead of exerting the slip on the gears and breaking them, the converter will slip instead

1.58 60' time here and many 1.60 60' times on a summit rear girdled, eaton posi, richmond 3.73 geared 7.5" 10 bolt. Runs great. Sold it after the 1.58 time because I was surprised it made it through it(ran great afterwards though) and am about to order a 12 bolt.

Mine finally went a few weeks ago after I went from a 75 shot to a 100 shot. I took 5 teeth off the ring gear. It lived thru a bunch of 1.62-1.65 60' times runnin 12.2's though.

11.80's here, with 1.8ish 60's (I know, that sucks). Rear is stock with the exception of 3.73's and a T/A girdle.

note that all these times are with automatics. if youre ragging on it with a six speed it definitely WONT hold up to times like that.
