F-Body Rear Ends

Ok, here is the scoop. I am looking for new rubber for the car. I am hearing that drag radials will be to much for the stock rear end? Or can I get away with drag radials? I dont plan on going to the track too often or launching at high rps. What am I better off with, regulars or drags? Thanks fir any input.

Since you live in the same area, I know what the weather is like around here. It rains (a lot). DR are not much good in the rain, for one thing. So if your car is a daily driver, they are not what you want for that reason and others. Among the others is that they wear rapidly.

My Nitto's work well in the rain, until about the 75% of the tread is gone, then they get interesting.... once I'm down to the nice bald strip running down the center, I don't even risk bringing it outta the garage...

I typically get 10K miles outta them before they become non-streetable (Where they are completely treadless in the center)

Yokohama AVS Sports hook hard and are very solid in wet weather. I used to run the A520 which is the older version and I loved them. I now run the F1 GSD3 and they are okay but not nearly as sticky as the Yok's.
