Re: Ebay TORQUE CONVERTER's

I'd rather do that, as long as the converter is in good condition.

As said above, this is one area not to skimp...I have a Vig 3600 and I love it. I'm a long term test dummy as I've had it for almost 10 years..Well worth the $$$...There's others on this board, too..Midwest, Yank, Protorque, Edge...Do a search and stay with a good known company...

Re: Ebay TORQUE CONVERTER's

do a search for westcoast converters on e-bay, im running there 10" 4l60e converter with a 2800 stall, it is a great converter, and very good customer service, the guy that builds the converter actually calls you to discuss your car combo before he builds it, they also have a web site

I'm buying a Hughes converter. Someone does sell them on E-Bay.

It's a little bit of a price difference, though!

Re: Ebay TORQUE CONVERTER's

Another thumbs up for West Coast Convertors. I ordered one from him b/c I saw him selling on ebay. He has you fill out build sheet on whats done to your car/motor, and what stall you want. Then he calls you, before building it, he was great to deal with, and the convertor is awesome. It ran me 325.00 with shipping.

Re: Ebay TORQUE CONVERTER's

You guys are just dismissing the 145.00 eBay convertors out of hand due to the unbelievably low price.
No one here has actually had any experience with the vendor Morandon. Look at his feedback. 400 in 4 years and all positive.
I bought one recently to put in in a month with my CPT trans.
Here's some feedback on fbody from someone who's actually used one.

Ebay $165 shipped stalls at 3k, just a restalled stocker but has worked fine for the 100+ passes I have put on it
