drivetrain still missing something

i swapped in a th350 over christmas, and the 2.73 rear seems to lack the get up adn go that that 4l60 put into it. the 350 has a 2.57, they 4l60 had a 3.06 1st. do you guys think i would be better off getting a higher stall converter or swapping in a new rear gear? the car has to be held at at least 1200 rpm to launch, or it bogs horrible.

Re: drivetrain still missing something

im guessing the gear is the 'get up and go' factor, but what would the converter yield as far as getting it off the line?
