Driveshaft Length Help

Hey guys, I need some help trying to pinpoint a recent problem I encountered when trying to install a LS1 driveshaft. The car is a 97 T/A and has a BBC/T56 combo with a stock rear end. When I mocked up the motor everything fit perfect, but now that I have the real deal in there the driveshaft doesn't want to fit anymore. It's too long. What's weird about the situation is that I'm using a LT1 T56 and it's mounted using the stock crossmember in the stock location. Is there any logical reason that a stock driveshaft is too long even thoughthe trans is mounted in the stock location? I don't see how the rear end could have moved forward because the LCA's aren't adjustable so it's not like they changed. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!!

IIRC the 4th gen xmbmr is slotted where the mount bolt comes through, plus the mount itself offers a wee bit of fore/aft adjustment. Perhaps it move back just far enough?

Is the trans yolk going in all the way (not binding, etc.)?
