Driveshaft Length.

I have the Moser 12 bolt in (1350 yoke) and did the u-joint conversion, and the driveshaft wouldn't go in, until we put the tranny jack under and lifted the rear about 2 inches, but it barely fit in. Had no play, and I didn't want to risk bringing it down to ride height because it would have bound up for sure. Is there a standard amount shorter the DS needs to be?

It somestimes works, and sometimes doesn't with the stock DS. The stocker form middle of the yoke on one end to the middle of the yoke ont he other end should be about 42". Looks like it mite be alittle to long, on a hard launch you could risk damaging your trans as the shock will bang the hell outta the point int he trans the yoke is hitting. You should have 1/2" to 3/4" of play in the driveshaft from front to back when its disconnected from the diff and still in the trans. Pretty much you take off those 2 straps holding the ds on the rear and slide it back and forth, should be about 1/2" to 3/4" of play, some say 1" on higher HP applications. I forget if you test it with the car on all 4 wheels or not, someone chime in please.

You want the car at the normal ride height to measure the play in the slip yoke.
