Are all LT1 and LS1 A4 and M6 driveshafts the same. My stock steel driveshaft has a vibration at around 70 mph and i would like to get an aluminum driveshaft.
Also how much hp can these aluminum driveshafts handle matted up to a 4L60E and a stock 10 bolt. I plan on haveing a 450 rwhp motor in the future and im just wondering if an aluminum driveshaft will handle it.

all driveshafts....v6, v8, 305, 350, LT1, LT4, LS1, auto, manual....from 83-02... are interchangeable
so yes.
the ls1 alum shaft holds up to alot of abbuse behind big power ls1s...but if you start launching hard with slicks it will probably let go eventually...although your rear will probably go first.
i think the 1le shafts are stronger.

Thanks. I found out right after i posted this that all 1982-2002 manual and auto driveshafts are the same.
But im thinking that since i have an auto, i wont be launching with as much abuse as a manual, so my driveshaft and rearend will hold up a little better/longer.

Your steel one can actually handle more torque (roughly 25%) , but at those hp numbers you are already past both their limits. However, if you are making 500 ft lb of torque and spining your tires slightly, then it is really like having 400 ft-lbs go through the drivetrain. Stress on the drivetrain is limited to what you can get to the ground. So, until you start running slicks I wouldn't worry about twisting the driveshaft.
