drag radials

putting 285 nitto drag radials on my 00 ss 6 speed, and going to the track tommrow, think my rear end will be alirght, car dyno at 338 rwhp and 350 rwtq, any tips

Yeah you should be fine with just Nittos. You wont get great traction, just better than street tires.

if they wont give you great traction what will. my biggest problem in my car is traction, i average 2.4 60' how am i going to get those times down without better tires?

2500rpm...... slip for a half a second till you get rolling then dump the clutch and nail it

Nittos wont give u any traction to brag about Get a girdle cover and toss some BFG DRs on it for traction. They'll grip and your rear should hold for a while with a girdle.

the reason you let it slip for a milla second is so the gears can mesh before you put 350+ torque to em. if you launch hard thats 350+ pounds of torque making the pinion gear slap the ring gear and on a stock 10 bolt it = pushing ur car off the track


i rather cut a 1.9 than trying for a 1.8 and then hafta push the car off the track
