DOT3/4 Valvoline vs. The White Bottle (DOT3)
DOT3/4 Valvoline vs. The White Bottle (DOT3)
Anyone think there's a difference between this stuff for the brake and clutch systems on our cars?
Pep boys prices:
Valvoline: $5.50
White bottle: $2.25
White bottle claims to exceed DOT3 specs. heh.

Re: DOT3/4 Valvoline vs. The White Bottle (DOT3)
The Valvoline Synthic is rated at 500 degrees F, versus 350 or so for the "white bottle". For non-performance driving th white stuff should be OK.

If you plan to run on race courses, you'll need to upgrade you entire brake system to be competitive. Next to experience, brakes are the most important upgrade.
You will need a quart of brake fluid to bleed your entire brake system. The clutch reservoir doesn't "bleed" (no bleed screw) and only holds about 4 oz of fluid.
