TCI makes great valve bodies, and 3 speed converters. They DO NOT make a very good A4 lock-up converter.

I agree they do not make a good stall, same goes for B&M. On the other hand I just got my Fuddle Racing stall installed last night, and its a thing of beauty. Fuddles Performance coverters are in the same price range as TCI, and B&M stalls which is why I bring them up.

I have no experience with there valve bodies, but if Frank vounches for them then they have to be pretty darn good. He only uses the best stuff, and any number of members on the board will testify to that.

Ive got a 3000 tci street fighter in the SS, went from a 13.08 to a 12.80 @the Track. Looking for more stall though and all my friends keep recommening fuddle. But other than that i was happy with it just need more though. The Ls1 is all stock with loud mouth and slp lid oops forgot to say ran that pass on m/t's eeww? who gets the credit now? Funny thing is we didnt think it was gonna fit! I was like damn it wrong one and after several attempts we put the stock convertor back in! Then its like one last shot at it and we got the third turn in to click! Drove the ls1 for 6 more months before it went up for winter without any problems i would just reccomend a bigger stall. Damn i just wrote a book!

i've had mine in for about 2 years now and never made it back to the track. (new job, had to go to school for training, home owner,ECT.) I'm working on convincing my wife that my car NEEDS THE LE2 OR THREE PACKAGE. ANY ADVICE ON THAT WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Tell her it's not running right and you think it blew a head gasket. Then with a straight face, tell her you need about 3 grand from the budget to fix the car. Then say, if I don't do it now, it will cost alot more in the near future, if I keep driving it this way.
