shot bearings?? clogged vent??

I have a 3:42 10-bolt posi from a 1980 camaro. I bought the rear end from a friend of mine 4 months ago to put on my 79. The rear end gears are in great shape, but my seal is leaking. I replaced the seal and it still leaks out fluid. The yoke seems to have about 1/4" of play but so has my other rear ends. Is it possible that my vent it clogged or my bearings are shot?? Ive changed the seal twice this weekend and it didnt help at all. Thanks.

I normally dont respond to my own posts, but I'm going to attempt to change my bearings myself and was wondering if anyone else has attempted the same task?
