deep screeching sounds?

i hear a deep pitched screaching sound when i turn going a slow speed, its comin from the back of the car, i thought it could be my rear end going out, but it doesnt really sound like a whine, more of like a rubbing sound, anyone have any ideas?

all the mustangs you slaughtered!!!! :P

Actually when my carrier bearings went out, that is how it started. If it is your bearings, it will continue to get louder, and eventually become a loud howling sound. (i thought it sounded cool) but still fixed it.

if it is the bearings, and you just change the gears then no. You're gonna have to change the bearings. (if it is them) But what a better time to swap gears though!
