Dana 60 in a Fbody... Anybody do it???

After reading some of the discussions over on LS1 tech and it mentioned that DTS was working on putting together a fully bolt in Dana 60 for F bodies, which would truly be awesome, since as far as i know they are some of the best rears out there. Has anybody gone through the hassle of making it work or does anybody know if strange has made any progress with theirs.

My friend has a dana60 with 4.56 gears and an Eaton HD posi.

that thing is one Heavy SOB! I wouldnt do it unless you are looking at BIG slicks and LOTS OF POWER!!! If your a drag racer only, go for it, but if you like turns stay away..

The only reason why my friend got his was because he was building a 396 LT4 that was going to be twin turbo'd, and was supposed to make in excess of 1000hp. He has since gone in another direction and is looking at selling the Dana60 eventually and putting a "Big" 10 bolt in its place since he is into turning a bit more now than straight line.

I can't believe anyone would even consider putting a freakin dana 60 in a Fbody or any car for that matter.. Dana 60's are a thing of the past. Hardly anyone runs them anymore because they are so heavy and they just arent needed.

The Ford 9in rear end will live just as long if built correctly. The dana rear ends are so freakin heavy its unreal.. Buy a damn 9in with a aluminum center section, billet yoke, good set of gears and a full spool with 35 spline axles and you will NEVER break it. Hell, if a freakin Pro Modified race car with 3500hp that runs low 6's in the 1/4 cutting .9X 60ft times can run with a 9in rear end then I think a damn fbody will be just fine.
