Damaged Differential?

Tore the driveshaft out of my car at the track last year and when I put a new one in it started making noise like you could hear the driveshaft rotating kind of like "womp....womp....womp..." and the faster you go the faster the noise "wompwompwomp" ...thought maybe the new driveshaft needed balancing but after I talked to a local shop the guy said it sounded like maybe something in the dif. was damaged. Opinions? The driveshaft wasn't vibrating it was just making that noise......I'd rather not open up the dif. if I didn't have to and don't know what I would be looking for if I did....

Just open it and look, its pretty simple and requires only new gear oil and a gasket, also limited slip additive you have an LSD.

Is it possible you damaged the tranny output shaft when the DS "tore out"?
