CPT now offers "freshen up" service to our customers

We are now offering a "freshen up" service for any of our transmissions for a 3 year period after purchase. We already give a 6 month on parts and a year on labor for our "race", and "pro race" rebuilds. This is an extra service. The way it works is, if you ever need any work done after your warranty is up, we'll still do a "refresh" for a small fee...Probably in the neigborhood of $250. This will cover any clutches, bands, and "soft parts". Any "hard parts" that are replaced will still be the customers resonsibility.
This service will work great for those who may have an engine out and would like to have the transmission gone back through if it's been in for a few years. Or if you originally bought a "race" rebuild, but are thinking about nitrous, we could upgrade to a "pro race" option for the cost of the optional parts + the $250 "freshen" fee.
We offer this also because many racers like to have their transmissions gone back through every few seasons anyway.

This service will also help you out if you buy a Yank, Vigilante, or other converter that may go bad, and hurt the transmission. $250 sure beats a while new rebuild cost.

This service is only available to those who we originally built the transmissions for.

Thank You,
Frank Cahall

Not that I need it right now, but I was thinking about asking you about something similar to this when I finally decide to work on my car...

BTW, is this something your advertising on your website or just for this forum?

We need to find a space to put this on the web page... Any thoughts?

You really make it hard to do automatic transmission business with anyone else you know that? Well done, when is a good time to call for questions?

Well I'm sure others will chime in too, but I think this should be in a section by itself because it applies to all your trannies right?

Like maybe a link off of the trans guide page like your Pricing Policy and Shipping Crate Instructions. Also then add a link to the top of each of the tranny pages, like the 4l60 page, that go to those pages listed above too. Either that or all the details will have to be placed on every one of your tranny pages, but that might confuse a new customer looking for a rebuild and they might think they could get their tranny "freshen up" for only $250...

Plus, you might want to think of a cool way to state this new service. Like Race Refresh, CPT Refresh, or something like that. A link that said "freshen up" might look funny, or people might not know what is means...

OH, and it should definitly be put in your News page as well as in your forum...

Hey Frank, reading up on posts about your tranny and service makes me feel like a ****! I am currently going through a bad experience with this vendor mad dog lou. Can't say that the product they sell is not quality at this point but I am having some issues. Shift firmness is one and customer service is another. They have tried to hellp but I get the iimpression they don't have the personnel. Nobody knows why I recieved a 3500 stall instead of a true 4000 stall that I paid for(funny thing invoice says 4k stall , stall is stamped 3500) Also the shift firmness(they offer 1,2, and 3 stages) is not there, I asked for a stage 3 . The tv cable is adjusted . You have impressed me with the feedback in this forum about your transmission and your customer service. You might have yourself a customer in the future.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. If you'd like, you can ask any of my customers about the way our transmissions shift. I don't think you'll find anyone complain about the 1-2 or 2-3 being "soft".
Let me know if we can help. What method are you using to adjust your cable?

This is correct.

Me - (pulling away slowly)
Car - BAM 1-2 shift
Passenger - "What the hell was that?"
Me -
I love it.

As far as adjustment , I adjust the cable at wot , press the tab and slide the sleeve all the way back. At wot it's tight as a guitar string.

Same here, but I also has 3500 stall and open exhaust (cutout), so nobody in my family wants to ride with me anymore.

I took my mom out for some reason last week, and she said she was never riding with me again

I think the funniest part is that I have 2.73's and a 3500 stall, both things that "lessen the shift feel" and it is still pretty crisp, just how I asked Frank to make it...

Here are a couple treads descibing TV adjustment, something else to look into are the governer and springs on it, but they deal with shift points, not to sure about firmness. Did they tell you how the accumulators were set up on it?
