Converters

Ok, so here's my situation...i want to get a new converter. I am currently running a stock LT1 with the regular bolt ons...as seen in my sig. my question is this...what converter can i run with my stock engine but still be able to use when i upgrade my engine to an all forged 355 with supercharger and upgraded tranny and new driveshaft and moser 3.73 12 bolt?

or should i not even worry about it until i get my new stuff?

Thanks for any help...

Re: Converters

I would do it the same time you get your upgraded trans, because most people on here say that if one blows up it usually takes the other one with it. So it wouldn't be good to run a new, expensive converter with a well run, risky trans, especially since you'll be getting an updated trans in the future. On the other hand, you probably still want advice on what to get, I do know that there is a big difference in what you can get in this department, and some are definitely better than others, at least as far as street manners are concerned. I'm pretty sure TCI makes a good converter, not sure about all the others.
