convert options ???

convert options ???

just bought my gf a 93 camaro Z28 . she likes the car and is getting into the whole modding thing. well it just so happens the car is kind of high mileage and has a rear main seal leaking and posisbly front trnamission seal. i find this is a good time and excuse to put a converter in for her. since i am new to the whole gm thing (recently converted over from ford)..i have no idea what options are out there for a nice decent converter. we are looking for something in between the 2500-3200 range and a fairly decent price. this thing wont be an all out drag car and wont see the track, just want something a little more fun to toy around with. thanks for whatever info you can give me.

Mike: I know people hate to hear this. But if you do a search you will see a lot of opinions on this. I really don't have to much of a persoanl opinion on non-race converters. I am not a fan of autos for the street (in a performance car) so just don't have a lot of experience with street converters.

On a stock car a 2400/2500 Stall would be a good choice. That is about 800 over the stock one.

i did a search and couldnt find anything definate on a good street converter, most all of it was about a more race oriented converter, which is the only reason i posted up in here.

I am using a 2400 stall with 350 TPI and it works for me.
