Considering going auto and have a few questions
As the title says, I am considering changing to auto as the car is becoming less streetable as a DD. I am currently running a T56 and have a good 4L80E that I will do some mods to. I am running a 9" with 3.50 gears and my motor is in my sig. I am very much mechanically inclined and very good with wiring/electrical.
My questions are these:
(1) Do the auto cars have a separate TCM? My research is saying no. If not than can I load a bin file from an auto into my OBDI converted system and use the same ECM? I have a complete harness and ECM from the truck that donated the 4L80E, so I can graft in the needed wires.
(2) What should be done to the 4L80E to make it stand up?
(3) What stall and rear gearing would be best for my combo?

Are you going to sell the t56?, I have an auto and want to keep a t56 swap on the back burner if i ever get tired of my auto
