Clutch Want Disengage


JUST PUT A NEW C,PP,TOB IN MY 86 Z, NEW MASTER AND SLAVE, DAMN CLUTCH WILL NOT DISENGAGE. SLAVE IS WELL BLEED, SLAVE HAS PLENTY OF TRAVEL. WHAT ELSE SHOULD I CHECK??

If you're sure the hydraulics are working, the only other thing that it can be is that the disk is stuck to the pressure plate, or flywheel, or both. I had that happen to me. I installed the clutch and transmission while the engine was out of the car. It was a couple of weeks before I finally was ready to fire it up. The clutch would not release. I pulled the trans back off, and I found that the disk was stuck to the pressure plate. The only thing I can figure is that humidity got sucked up by the organic material in the disk and it "glued" itself to the pressure plate.

Bad master cylinder?? I know you changed it, but defective?

thanks for the advice, i'll try a new master tommorrow and if that doesn't work i'll pull the tranny!!

replaced master cyl today and worked like a charm. thanks for the help!!!!!
