clutch travel

Does anyone know how far the throwout bearing should travel when pushing in on the clutch in a 1996 trans am with the t56 and a mccleod twin disk set up. I parked the car for about 4 months or so and when i went to drive it last the clutch would not disengage. I know the slave is moving the forks and can see the throwout bearing pulling back but its not moving far. the clutch only has probably 2500 miles or so on it.
