Clutch test for wear

How do I know if my clutch is worn or bad? I know it's impossible to chirp my tires in second lately but could this be a engine issue? My EGR sensor has been bad for awhile maybe it is sending a message to the engine to shut down the power.

Re: Clutch test for wear

When your clutch is worn, it will slip under heavy loads (i.e. engine rpm increases without the car going any faster). A good test is to have the car in 5th gear doing 30 - 40 mph and floor it. If the rpms increase but your speed doesn't, the clutch is slipping.
