Clutch Question

I have a 02 Z28 with around 66k on it now. In normal driving conditions the clutch works fine, never slips or anything. But when beating on it a little bit the pedal feels a little soft, and has a dead spot at the top I guess is the best way to describe it. I plan on doing a clutch this spring when it warms up some here, but was wondering if it could be the slave or master cyl. going bad also. Anyone else have this problem? I would just like to fix it while im in there. Thanks for your info/help, Paul.

my first suggestion is to try bleeding it.

could be old fluid and its boiling under stress.

could make all the difference in the world
