Question clutch problem that has me stumped

i did a burn out and long story short tore up clutch. I have a 97 383 LT1 with a t56 6 speed tranny. After the burn out I got that awful *** smell from the clutch. this happened about 1230 friday night on my way home from work. I drove a hour to pick my buddy up to take the old clutch out and repalce it. We got back and started the work around 4 in the morning we took evertything out and replaced the clutch kit with a all new one. around 5 in the afternoon we stopped because the problem wasn't fixed. It was doing the samething that it was when we started. before when I pushed in on the clutch i heard grinding. you could still drive it but it would groind when you pushed in on the clutch. when we changed everything and put the new one in it still still the samething. same grinding and back with the burnt clutch smell. that was just from starting the car. so we took the tranny back off to look at it and found out that my fork was hitting the inside and outside of the pressure plate. The bolt doen't look like it is stretched. STUMPED!!! the fork dosen't look bent either. I hae decided to go with a new slave cyclinder and new fork and bolt and hopefully that fixes the problem.. if any one has any knowledge or expereince with this problem let me know . IM stumped!!!
