clutch problem?

Hey guys, I was on my way home from school this evening and when I pushed in the clutch and put it in gear, there was a slight vibration and noise coming from the clutch pedal and shifter. When I am cruising on the highway everything seems fine, but when I shift or down shift it does the same thing. (worse when downshifting). Anyone have any idea what it might be? I thought it could be the clutch, but it was replaced not too long ago and shouldn't be going out already. Any help is much appreciated.

It's possible that your slave cylinder is shot. If the clutch is not fully disengaging the flywheel, you would feel a grind going into a different gear unless the rpms were dead on.

if the slave cylinder is shot, is that a major repair or an easy fix? and is it an expensive repair?

I concur, I had a the similar problem. When I swapped my clutch, I did not bother to change the actuator and the actuator ended being bad. It was leaking fluid so I had to take the tranny down and swap the darn actuator. It sucks to be lazy... I learned my lesson.
