Clutch Pedal stays on the floor

I am posting this for a friend. The clutch pedal will stay on the floor intermittently and then if you get your foot underneath it you can pop it back up easily and the clutch will start working again. I did some research on this, and it sounds like the clutch master cylinder could be the culprit but before he starts buying parts I wanted to get some more opinions. I know that the system doesn't appear to have any leaks, and has not lost any fluid. Our thought was that maybe the fluid was getting around the piston in the master cylinder and leaking fluid down. Thoughts?

Same problem with 2002 ss

I am having the same problem with a 2002 SS with 37k miles on it...mostly in town.

Problem is intermittent, sometimes going for 3-4 days without appearing.

When it hangs on the floor, it releases about 3/4" off the floor...I am waiting for it not to release at all when I am starting the engine...

Anyone else?

My friend has the identical issue, and he had replaced the clutch master cylinder with a unit from mccleod when he swapped out the clutch. The clutch is a Spec Stage 3+. He is going to attempt to bleed the system again, and if that doesn't work he is going to pull out the tranny to see if anything is binding.

I dont have any issues with my clutch but my wife g35 does and after alot of research some people are having good results by replacing brake fluid often. http://www.rangeracceleration.com/Clutch_Care.html
