Is the clutch pedal lower than the brake pedal?

I'm finishing up my T56 swap and my clutch pedal is about 1-1.5 inches lower than the brake pedal. In my dad's LS1 the clutch pedal is even with the brake pedal. Is this normal on the LT1's?

The pedals should be even with a stock master cylinder. If it's McLeod's adjustable master cylinder on a street twin clutch, the pedal will be an inch lower than the brake pedal.

Mine is lower too, but because of these reasons:

I drilled the hole for the master too low (such a pain in the ***)
The aftermarket clutch

I even have the adjustable master to try to help out. As long as it fully disengages the clutch, F'it

The master cylinder is extened all the way when the clutch pedal is like that, and I don't think the hole is too low, it pretty much fits exactly where its supposed to go.

Re: Is the clutch pedal lower than the brake pedal?

Mine sits a tad lower, haven't had any problems yet. Trying to just get the hole cut and the master cylinder in there is pain enough, I couldn't imagine trying to adjust stuff too. I think that was one of the worst parts of my swap, that or putting the tranny in by myself, with a regular jack that wouldn't fit underneath the car with the tranny on it...

Yeah, getting the pedals in was the hardest part by far, probably b/c I cut the hole like a half in inch too low :-( It took 5 hours to get them lined up right

The rod that connects the clutch pedal and goes into the master cylinder goes into the cylinder on a slight angle. Would this effect the pedal travel at all?

Well I loosened the master cylinder and moved it around so it lined up perfectly and it didn't move it forward anymore at all. Is this just how it's supposed to be? Is there any way to adjust how long the rod is?

Is this anything to worry about?

The bolt holes you drilled in the firewall have to be enlarged in the upward direction. The brake/clutch pedals are supposed to be even.

I took out the u-bolt and aligned the master cylinder perfectly and that didn't allow the clutch pedal to move any more forward at all, so I don't think that is the problem.
Are there any differences between the LS1 and LT1 pedals? Mabey I got the wronge set of pedals....

No differences (LT1 vs LS1). Does it drive fine?

Sorry for digging up this old post, but for what it's worth, mine is the same way. Did you get it fixed?
