Clutch not gonna last much longer...

I installed my SLP clutch about 5,000 miles ago. It has started to engage all the way at the top of my pedal. Also everytime i'm driveing i can smell it burning. I took it to a tranny shop and let one of the guys there test drive it. He took it for a spin and said that there's not much life left on the clutch. I know that you can't adjust the clutch but is there a way to adjust the pedal? Also since i gotta start looking for another clutch, and its not gonna be a SLP one again. What do you suggest? I wanted to get a Street Twin but i heard with a 10 bolt your rear isn't gonna last long. So what other clutch do you recommend that will hold really good but won't destroy my rear. The shop said they could do all the work for about $600 but they use a LUKE clutch. Iv'e never even heard of that clutch before. Has anybody heard of those clutches before? Also should i just do it myself again or pay a shop. I did it before but i'm affraid that maybe the reason this one went out after 5,000 miles is because of installation error. Any suggestions would be very helpfull. Thanks.

My stock clutch is starting to engage at the very top of the pedal too. Dose that sound right if the car only has 27,000 miles on it?
