Clutch not fully releasing, what about my own "adjustable" slave?

New Mcleod single disk clutch with valeo PP and stock turned flywheel. Flywheel is @ .030 shorter than the factory height.

My pedal grabs hard just off the floor and on some cold mornings the car will even inch foward while in gear. Reverse is almost impossible to get into. First at a stand still is tough. 1-6 pattern is ok because of some speed matching. Down shifting will grind a bit at times. All of this tells me that it is not releasing fully.

I am going to try to bleed the setup tonight, but being a sealed prebled setup I doubt that will help.

It seems that I need to either a longer rod on the slave to push the clutch fork further, or that I need to make an adjustable master, which I don't want to do. My clutch pedal is pretty much even with the brake one.

I am thinking that if the bleeding doesn't work I will take a grinder to the 1.5" sleeve that goes between the slave/bell housing to move the slave closer to the front and hopefully shortening the distance the rod must travel, moving the engagement point further up in the pedal and making the clutch fully dissengage when on the floor.

Thoughts?

Actually I am having the same problem as you are. Sorry to bring this up from the dead, but i have recently installed a T-56 into my 91 formula, although it doesn't run, my pedal has little travel and it seems to disengage all the way to the floor. I was also thinking of taking a wire wheel or something to the spacer for the slave to acheive a better engagement for the slave. Any thoughts on this. I don't have enough money for an adjustable unit.
