I don't know where I heard this but I'm not sure if I'm right. But if your clutch starts going out is it more likely to first start slipping in 4th gear or 1st gear?

A good way to tell if your clutch is starting to slip, is to have it in 4th gear at a low rpm and give it a good amount of gas pedal.

Well I am recently changing my clutch and the disk was pretty bare, and it seems as if I pulled hard in 1st and 2nd, but 3rd and 4th just didn't seem right. Do you think that could have been from the bad clutch?

Sure it could. With the lower gears you have a better ratio to get the car moving. Once your 1 to 1 in 4th gear it harder for the clutch to hold the power.
