Clutch Masters and Fidanza

I was going to get a new clutch for my 00 Z28. It has 448rwhp, 435rwtq N/A.

I was looking at this clutch and flywheel:

Do you guys think this will be a good combo? I was looking at the FX300 with 12.5lb Flywheel.

Thanks for any advice.

Re: Clutch Masters and Fidanza

not sure about the clutch...

but i have the fidanza flywheel on my 400rwhp LS1 so i can give you input on that.

first off...it's a pain in the *** to pull out from a stop. it's so light that it drops the engine rpm so fast if you don't match the throttle correctly. very easy to stall. i honestly stall the car at least once a day.

i picked up a bit of high frequency vibration after the install. nothing particularly horrible, but at lower rpm is where i feel it. i think it is because of the rough nature of the cam, combined with poly motor and trans mounts.

i will say that the thing revs up INSANLY fast. and it's great to downshift fast. it's a pain to launch, but once you have it rolling...it's great.

if you do any dragracing, i think there are better choices out there, but if you want a fast reving, quick shifting street or autoX car...it will be a good choice.
although it will take some getting use to.
