Clutch Issues .....

I'm having a wicked clutch slip when powering off the line in 1st from a dead stop. I only notice the slip when under full (or near full) power.

Is my clutch history? The car only has 27k. I drive fast/aggressive, but usually don't abuse the clutch. Under any other circumstances the clutch feels normal.

Right now it's at the dealer getting checked out. They already told me it may not be covered and it definitely won't be covered if it's the friction plate.

Has anyone else worn out a clutch in 27k?

Your car has a ZO6 clutch in it and that clutch does have some bite. If it's slipping in first on street tires then it's shot. The only time the clutch is covered is if the clutch is shot with under 12k miles and less then 12 months old or if the pressure plate is broken. Screw the dealer, they will only f%ck up your car! Take it to MTI and have the experts check it out. I think there are some other tuners there in TX too!

I agree...take it to a tranny place. I took my car to the dealer to change my spark plug wires in my LT1 and they put one through the fan........as you can figure out that didn't bode well for the wire or give me much chance on running on 8 cylinders.
