Heh, I just read over my own install guide and realized one thing could change (made that guide years ago):

Just remove the torque arm from the trans, you shouldn't have to take it out completely.

I've done it 3 times. (97 - SS MM6). One thing I do is...
When engagement of the main shaft to the pilot bearing, you must align three (3) pieces. (Hseing dowels/ Main shaft clutch spline/ and, main shaft pilot bearing). Since those plastic alignment tools have a wide tollerance, alignment may be difficult. I assemble the clutch fork into the throw bearing, push the clutch in slowly by hand (not full stroke). This releases the clutch pressure plate in alignment with the dowel and pilot bearing centers, and, moves the trans forward into engagement. Works every time for LT1 due to design of the clutch mechanism. It took me 2 hours to figure this out, but not found in any manuals. Hope this helps.

I wish we could host these write ups on cz28.com...similiar to dsmtuners.com. I used this same write to do my clutch as well a few months ago.
