Clutch fork pivot??

Im having trouble with my clutch fork hitting my pressure plate while the car is running and the clutch is depressed. I have checked the t-bolt and it is tight, but the fork pivot has about 1/2 inch of slop in it, (@ the pivot point) allowing the fork to contact the pressure plate. (I can see the wear marks on the fork and pressure plate) Has anyone had this happen before? Thanks in advance.

Re: Clutch fork pivot??

There is a set of clips attached to the fork that when it is seated correctly, should take up any slop. If you remove the bolt holding the T, I suggest you loctite it in place; mine vibrated loose over time.

I'm having the same problem, after installing a new stock clutch in my 94 Formula. Anyone have any ideas of what might be wrong? Clutch engages/disengages properly, so I think the fork is on correctly.
