Clutch fork inserted

I have a 94z LT1, spec stage 3, I want to know when I install my clutch fork onto the throw out bear and it clicks in, how much play is there. I know it is on it, but are you all to wiggle the fork when it is installed (not pulling it out or in, just wiggling it side to side). Or just it be very tight and you have to pull it off the throwout to be able to wiggle it.

Re: Clutch fork inserted

When I installed my clutch it felt like it wasn't on tight but it was on. Just install the slave cylinder and mash the pedal and you will feel it. But when you install a clutch it feels like the clutch isn't even engaging because the pedal is so soft but it really is.

Re: Clutch fork inserted

I notice that when I install the clutch fork it clicks and has some movement, but when I pushed the clutch fork it slips off throwout and hits part of bellhousing (pushing it like a simulation of how the slave pushes the fork to pick up pressure plate). I looks like it is on but like I said when you push it it hits and looks like in needs to go in another inch or two to clear the area around the fork(bellhousing).

????

If the fork falls off or is hitting any part of the bellhousing, its not on. When its on it should be very obvious, the paddle part of the fork where the slave pushrod fits into the recess will be situated in that opening on the bellhousing where the slave bolts up without anything in the way. Keep messing with it, it'll go into place.

I just think the fork may be bent from when my buddy was pulling on the motor when the fork was still connected to the old clutch.
