Clutch Fork

Where can I get one other than the dealership? Are there any upgraded ones I can swap it to?

Re: Clutch Fork

ok maybe im calling this part by the wrong name...I need the fork that engages the clutch itself. Not the internal gear shifting forks.

Re: Clutch Fork

Your talking about the release fork that pulls the throw out bearing? I dont think there is any upgrade to that part. I was looking at mine the other week when I was doing my clutch and it looked plenty strong to me, I cant imagine there is any aftermarket one available. I would be pretty sure the only place to get another would be through a dealer. If I were you I'd get the part number from your dealer then order from gmpartsdirect.com or someone like Jason Cromer. I went to order an LT4 throw out bearing and the dealer wanted $122.00 for one. If they wanted that much for the damn t/0 bearing who knows what they are going to ask for that clutch fork! Good luck, and be sure to let us know how much one is

Re: Clutch Fork

OK, well after days of searching for an upgraded fork, I just got another stock one. The reason I am replacing it is because the clip that holds the fulcrom(sp?) bolt is broken on one side, being that it is all one peice and I was gonna replace it no matter what, I might as well upgrade it, but it appears there is no upgrade for this.
BTW.. I got it for $60 at the local dealership, being that I work for oreilly I get a little hook up over there.

Re: Clutch Fork

ummm, not to make myself look stupid or nothing, but when I took out my engine, I thought I had unhooked everything, wires, tranny, etc... however, I forgot to dis-engage the clutch fork, and I pulled the engine and tranny in one piece, and it held beautifully!!! so they are alot stronger than I think the old ones in older sticks were!!
